What is Desi Wear all about?

Since Desi Wear's inception in 1994, it has been our passion, pride and belief in the Desi culture that has propelled us to where we are today.

When we started we didn't set out to change the world, but we figured a Desi focused urban clothing line would give others like us the opportunity to share our common bond. So we put together some unique designs and slogans and set-up a website thinking that some people might share our ideal, well, we were right, since those early days we've opened a 16,000 sq ft production facility, have customers in over 30 countries, been showcased in feature films, worn by international celebrities and featured countless times in the worldwide press, and we're just getting started.

Despite all this success we continue to stay true to our original goal, have fun and celebrate being Desi. We don't look to divide by promoting religion or one particular nation over another. We're proud to team up with Desi's that share this spirit, including Gurinder Chadha , director of the international hit Bend it Like Beckham, the official Desi Wear Brand Ambassador.

Often Imitated, Never Duplicated

While we pioneered the urban Desi clothing line in 1994, today there are hundreds trying to imitate our look and cash in on the 'trendiness' of being Desi. While we love other Desi's being creative and we welcome competition, don't be confused, we've been doing this since before Bend it Like Beckham, Punjabi MC and Aishwarya Rai made it cool to be Desi! Bottom line, there can only be one original, and that's Desi Wear.

Thank You

To our existing and new customers we want to thank you for believing in our passion and our endless drive to represent the Desi culture worldwide! Here's to you for believing and living your life with Passion and Pride .

Parting Words

Just one last thing, in this crazy world so often filled with stereotypes, racism and intolerance, though it may not always feel like it, you should feel truly lucky to be a Desi. We've done admirable things as a people and have a great future ahead of us. Whether you buy anything from us or not, be proud of who you are and where you come from.

Love & Respect! D-Dub.
